For the past few years I have been meeting with couples in coffee shops and restaurants. There was constant anxiety that we wouldn't find a table, the internet connections were always iffy, and the noise level was impossible to control! While I love meeting with couples in person, coffee shops just weren't the best place for me.
So about a year and a half ago, my husband, Mike, and I decided to do a little construction. We finished off our garage and breezeway so that we both have space to do what we love! As of January 2016 we have a recording studio and a photography studio right in our home! This winter I finally had time to decorate. I've been hosting meetings since January and I am LOVING IT! It's quiet and comfortable, which gives us the chance to really get to know one another. Plus, I get to serve my couples things like peppermint lemonade, fresh berries, goat cheese and Sofia (yum!).
The other piece to the puzzle is the light! It's GORGEOUS! So as I continue to settle in, I will also be able to photograph kids portrait sessions inside! Stay tuned for some sneak peeks of indoor portrait sessions that I have been working on. The Julia Jane Kids & Family guide for 2016 will be launching soon...and with it, a new menu of options for indoor and outdoor sessions at the Julia Jane Studio! YAY!
