I wish that no one's heart had to hurt, so we can enjoy one more sunrise.
I wish that no one had to suffer so that we can enjoy one more sunset.
I wish that no one had to salute a fallen brother, so that we can laugh with friends and eat one more hamburger on a long sunny weekend.
I wish, so, so many things... but most of all, I wish that each and every fallen solder can look down and see that sunrise, that sunset, and hear that laughter. And I wish that each and every family member knows, that deep in our hearts, it's Memorial Day each and every day. Not just May 25th.
Every day we breathe the sweet air of freedom it is Memorial Day in our hearts.
